You Attractive Bald Man in making might find this advise being little too hard to pull off or not doable. And you are right. Kind of. It was really easy for me to pull off. So why not you? I don’t see any reason why not.
Let me just make it clear right here in the beginning. I did not move to USA from Eastern Europe because my baldness pain was too much to handle. No, I left because I had enough of living in the city I was born, everybody knew me there, my life fell a part loosing family member, I was young and hungry for an adventure, I wanted to write a better book of my life. And I am guessing there is a lot of you young bald guys out there with these callings.
But at the same time it turned out to be the best therapy for my way too early bald head. I was 25 and I was completely bald at that time. And until now, I am still considering leaving my home town of Bratislava to USA as a best move I ever done in my life. If I get eaten by a shark on San Francisco’s Ocean Beach tomorrow while surfing, it was certainly wort it. I would do it again in a heart beat!

No, it wasn’t the best move because I needed more opportunities and I was starving emigrant. No I wasn’t. I was a spoiled kid, living cool, fun college life with lots of pocket money from my parents. And yes starring in the mirrors and wandering what could have been if I had a hair was part of my life at that time.
Yes, I was young spoiled bald brat! Than, by losing my dearest person in my life – my mother, everything changed! For some reason, she was the one that held everything together in our family. And I really, really loved her. Interesting thing is that you sometimes have to lose the most beloved person in your life to create a positive change in your life. It’s very sad, but it was very truth in my case. Overnight everything changed.
The reality time set in and I had to make some decisions. Being young, almost out of college it was a no brainer to buy a one way flight to Los Angeles – the city of all the weirdos and wannabes. Now, as easy as it was to get a flight ticket to USA, it was as hard to get the vises to America. I was lucky, I got it, but it is a long story for a different discussion.
Anyway, I landed on July 8th 2002 in LAX airport and my life adventure started. Just to make a long story short, I was struggling with a lot of things: I didn’t speak the language, no place to stay, no job, $300 in my pocket. Now I had to start putting things in a different perspective. There were more pressing needs at the moment than feeling sorry for my bald head.
I eventually moved to San Francisco Bay Area where one of my buddy lived and stayed here. Years went by and positive learning, struggles kept paling on. It actually felt great. I think, this single thing and of course maintaining my high fitness level are the main building blocks of my overall confidence. I am quite proud of this accomplishment. Now I call San Francisco Bay Area my home and I love every day being here.
