I was too young and I went bald too fast! I was only 22 and suddenly I was completely bald. I still remember the thoughts I had:
My life is over!
This is it! I’m destined to live small miserable life as a bald man.
Those were my thoughts!
How self defending!
How demoralizing and sad!
But, looking back at it, it’s quite common and normal for young bald man to have these kind of self defending thoughts.
So if you’re at the same stage of life like I was when I was 22 and completely bald my fellow young going bald man, it’s ok to feel lost. It’s unavoidable! It’s very normal.
Give yourself plenty of time to go through this process and denial about your early baldness. It’s ok! It’s perfectly natural!
Every young man does it! Every young balding man goes through this self defeating process. I wasn’t an exception. You’re not an exception. There are no exceptions!
Life becomes hard
I still remember the turmoil I was suddenly experiencing. My mother and at the same time my best friend suddenly died. Life became hard for me. Very hard!
Suddenly I had no place to live. I was still in college. And I never really had to take care of myself before. I didn’t know how to do it. I had fat pocket money before from my mom coming monthly. She was a generous person, but never really saved much for herself and for future emergencies.
She gave everything to her sons – me and my brothers. And suddenly she was gone. So 3 spoiled boys in their early twenties had to learn how to swim.
You sink or you swim! I decided to swim.
A rise from the ashes
I still remember that rainy cold Eastern European November of 2001 when I came home from evening classes. I was living on the sofa of my brothers girlfriend apartment.
I looked in the mirror feeling sorry for myself as usual. Tears started dropping from my eyes. I looked terrible. What used to be a young careless happy fit guy, was a wreck of a young man. And that wreck was in making for a year already.
I was pale, sad looking, broken skinny and out of motivation, self confidence and taste for life. Plus many clouds were hanging over my head.
I had no income, I was failing in school, and I didn’t do anything to change it.
But sometimes the person that you lost and loved so much will help you even if she’s not around anymore.
I decided to not let my late mother down.
Yes I used to be mamas boy. She was my best friend and biggest fan. I always knew I can turn to her when I was in trouble. But she wasn’t there anymore.
It was my turn to make her proud, to not let her down. Yes my mother was at the base of my overall turn around. I decided than and there that, from now on I’m never feeling sorry for myself. I decided to become a winner and stay a winner.
Maybe you’re going through the similar process of desperation my fellow young going bald man. I understand. I’ve been there.
Now you have to find that time when you turn things around. If it seams like it’s impossible to find and you don’t see the way out of it, don’t despair. Keep looking for it. It will come!
You become a winner eventually if that’s what you’re seeking
It’s all in your head. As the famous quote goes: “What you seek is seeking you!” Very, very very true! This simple quote never failed me.
What you focus and think about is what you get. So after you go through this tough period of self denial and mental self beating, it’s time to change your thinking.
It’s time to change your focus and direction! Because it is not serving you well. It’s beating you! You are beating yourself with that kind of mindset.
You need change! Period!
And that change and focus in your head and ultimately what you’re seeking for yourself my fellow young man who’s losing hair is:
Attractive winner!
Can you be an attractive winner even though you go bald in young age? You bet you can! And you must! Attractive winner in life is what you’re going to get. And what’s better than that? You become your own self ally and not the enemy anymore.
Sooner you do this transition from beating yourself down and concentrating your thoughts on a “looser” to “winner” the better.
Th right time will come young going bald man on a life changing mission. It might come soon or maybe little later. And maybe the time to shift is now!
